Search for drug compatibility

Sdrivers is a database of drug combinations that may be considered for use by continuous subcutaneous infusion (i.e. via a syringe driver). It contains 1602 entries, of which 531 are references to the literature, whilst the other records are of mixtures reported to have been used in clinical practice.

Disclaimer - Important information

The data accessed by this program has come from numerous sources and the accuracy of the data cannot be verified. Many of the drugs reported as subcutaneous infusions are not licensed for use by this route (and often not for the indication for which they are commonly used). A doctor who prescribes unlicensed medication must take the responsibility for doing so.

Visual compatibility does NOT mean that the mixture of drugs is safe to use, or that degradation of the drugs will not occur.

More Information

The value of the database will grow, the more records people enter.
Please DO:
•  record any unusual mixes that you use
•  record all mixes you try that are INCOMPATIBLE
•  record mixes of 3 or more drugs
•  record common mixtures but where high doses/concentrations are used

Please DO NOT record the same mix repeatedly for the same patient

Formal pharmacological compatibility studies will be included as they are published with full reference to the source. Although there are important caveats to the application of this information, a large database of records will help:
•  identify mixtures that are being commonly used which do not have data supporting their compatibility and would thus benefit from study,
•  avoid unnecessary duplication of attempts to mix drugs that have already been found to be incompatible,
•  where a large number of cases are reported of a mixture being used without problem, this is valuable supporting evidence of its compatibility in the absence of formal studies.

You need to Log-in in order to Submit an entry to the database.
